The Bertha Lear Art Exhibition Reception
Founded by an alumnus and his wife, in memory of his mother whose passion was art, the Bertha Lear Art Exhibition Program Endowment supports this annual program where students have the opportunity to share their works of art with the community and compete for a recognition award. The coveted award is the Bertha Lear Purchase Award for Best in Show. This winner’s artwork will become a permanent addition to Penn State Abington’s Art Collection. The program provides additional awards for outstanding artwork in various categories, such as the Bertha Lear Two-Dimensional, the Bertha Lear Three-Dimensional, and the Bertha Lear Media Arts and Design.
The Bertha Lear Art Exhibition features sculptures, paintings, drawings, ceramics, photography, printmaking, and new media work by student artists of Penn State Abington. The public is welcome to visit the exhibition during library hours from March 30 to May 1.
