Who am I and what do I do?

I am a Philly gal who loves Philly sport teams. I currently work for the Internal Revenue Service as a senior manager in the Human Resources Office. I am responsible for training and development of aspiring and current leaders as well as administrative professionals who serve and support small business owners and self-employed taxpayers.

What position do you hold on the Alumni Board and why did you want to be part of it?

I am currently the Secretary on the Board and I have an interest in the Alumni Connection committee. Abington is very special to me. I really struggled with trying to get into college because I am a poor test taker and the SATs scared the heck out of me. Financially things were tough too. I worked for a year after high school and tried to get into any college again. Penn State gave me the chance. Abington was good for me because it was small and I could get acclimated to college life and still work part time to save for future expenses. I was very shy and naive when I was 18 and being at Abington helped me begin my first reinvention of myself. I will always give back to Penn State for giving me that chance and being part of the Alumni Society enables me to do that.

What are some of your favorite PSU Abington or PSU memories?
