Michael J. Foley, BS Accounting 1974
Who am I and what do I do?
I recently retired from Johnson & Johnson after a long career as a financial executive. Since that time I have taught Undergrad and MBA courses in Accounting, Finance, Taxation and Management at several local Universities. It was very exciting for me to have an opportunity to teach at Penn State Abington during Spring 2014. I also have a small Tax and Financial Planning practice.
What position do you hold on the Alumni Board and why did you want to be part of it?
After retiring, I re-connected with Penn State Abington through the Mentor Program sponsored by the Alumni Relations office. I was then invited to join the Board and have served on the Strategic Planning and Scholarship Committees.
What are some of your favorite PSU Abington or PSU memories?
My favorite memory at Abington was playing pinochle in Lares building between classes. It was a great opportunity to meet new people and make friends. I also enjoyed being part of the SGA and the ROTC program. After moving to University Park for my Junior and Senior years, my favorite memories included football games at Beaver Stadium and lots of parties!
